French Ligue 1 side Lille are reportedly leading the race for the signature of a Liverpool target.

It has been a very quiet January transfer window for Liverpool, who are yet to sign a player despite links to several names.

The likes of Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were all linked with a move to Anfield this winter.

But each of these players have secured a move to other clubs and Liverpool remain without a new signing this January.

Liverpool continues to monitor the market, though, with the club’s hierarchy looking for a good opportunity in the market to strengthen a squad that is currently top of the Premier League and Champions League tables.

One name that is being looked at over a potential move, especially for a possible summer transfer, is Feyenoord man Anis Hadj Moussa.

Liverpool was linked with Algeria, who impressed under Slot’s guidance in December.

According to La Gazette de Funnec, Arne Slot sees Hadj Moussa as a viable option for Liverpool.

However, the player does not fancy a switch to Anfield as he wants to move to a French club.

According to Foot Mercato, Liverpool are behind in the race for Anis Hadj Moussa, who is also wanted by LOSC.

The report claims that the player himself is leaving towards a move to the French club, having been convinced by the club’s project.
